We decided to take the kids in for professional photos. I was a bit leery, as I've been trying, with not too much luck. Well, lucky for us... the kids had a GREAT day, and with the help of a good photographer we came away with TONS of good pictures! Now we just have to wait to get the pictures back, then we can pass our cuties onto you!
We were able to sneak back to Appleton for a few days. We had birthday parties for Benji (turned 4 in Nov) & Carolyn (3-the end of Jan) Instead of 2 cakes, we split one between them. Carolyn wanted "pink, girl ponies" and Benji wanted a tractor, so this is what they got.
Naturally there was an abundant of presents for ALL the kids. Out of all the presents they had a few favorites. Carolyn was thrilled to see a big bag of dress up shoes! Benji got a "stick bull". He has a "stick horse" at home, which he rides like a wild cowboy. Now he can have a full-fledged rodeo. Bronc, bull riding, roping...
The kids got enough toys that we can box up everything they used to have, and still be entertained for HOURS! We still get to celebrate Carolyn's birthday with Ben's side of the family yet...
The kids love to sing and play guitar with their Daddy. Ben plugged one of his guitars in the amp, then let the kids have at it! I need to get a movie of it, so you can all hear their great songs. In a few years, we'll have our own family band!
Carolyn & Katie LOVE to play with dolls, especially since we've had John. They copy my every move with their dolls... feeding, burping, diapering, talking, etc. On this day, they found some sunglasses (that were worn ALL day). Note Carolyn's pink flip flops... She wears them all the time, regardless of the temperature.
I am a city girl turned completely country. I'm married to a tall, handsome cowboy (who loves me as I am). I'm a Mom to 4 wonderful children. 2 boys & 2 girls. Some days they are a handful to say the least, but full of love, laughter and joy. They are my life!
