School Shots..

This year is a little out of the ordinary for us.  But, honestly, we don't mind it one bit.  In TN, they went back to school the beginning of August, so we started our (home) school then too.

The other day, I realized we never took our 1st day of school pictures.  (bad mommy).  It just so happened that, this day Benji wanted his picture taken outside, "in the shade".  So I dragged the other 3 kids outside and snapped away.  I then realized the girl's hair wasn't combed was "combed" by themselves, and they were wearing their clearanced swim shirts.  I debated on making them change and comb their hair, but this is how they are most days, so... :)  Although they were in a somewhat cooperative mood, so I could have gotten some cute group shots.

Benji- 1st grade

Carolyn - Kindergarten/1st grade (she's suppose to be in K, but she'd rather follow along with Benji)

John - this lil bugger is learning more than I realize.  He can identify all of his ABC's.  You point, he'll tell you which one it is!

The next few weeks are shaping up to be busy ones.  Busy weeks that we are looking forward too!  Aside from a few scheduled posts, I'll likely be absence from the blogging scene for awhile.

And sometimes... a not so willing participant!

Zoo- Take 2

Remember our 1st trip to the Zoo?  Since we went in February, when 97% of the animals were inside, we decided to give it anotherer try.  We did see more animals this time.  But overall, we still weren't impressed.  (the Milwaukee Zoo sets the bar pretty high) Chances are we'll go again, just because... it's a zoo, it's close by and the kids love it!

Katie didn't want her picture taken... apparently she hasn't gone wild yet. :)

By far, the kids most 'favoritest' place.  We spent a looong time watching this guy/girl!

She led us directly to her 'favoritest' spot.  The brand-new-just-opened-that morning Flamingo exhibit.

All in all, it was a fun day.  And was our first field trip!
