One super-duper special Saturday!

Benji tho't it was funny that Aunt Jess "couldn't" pick him up because he had gotten SO big!

Somehow I missed getting a picture of Carolyn.. but she was there!!

John's 'belated' bday, Benji's 'early' bday and 'just because you can't leave the girls out' presents for the girls!

Although it was too SHORT.. we had a GREAT time with Gpa, Gma and Aunt Jess. Thanks for making our Saturday so much fun! We miss you already!!

too cute to post just one

Not too long ago, we had just (John), Katie, and Meri (my niece). These two girls are just 5 months apart. Live just across the woods from each other. And are becoming the best of friends! Oh.. and they both are just too cute! (now if you add their cousin Larissa- 4 mos older than Katie- you get a trio of fun!) :)

And then John... just climbs over the side of the couch, plops down, pushes Meri over squeezes into the picture for a 'split' second before running off to get into more mischief!

I have a strong feeling Meri is thinking, "I really hope I get a sister.. these brother's are something else!"

hungry

Carolyn found this 'poor' baby bunny at Meri's bday party. It was 'starving'. Lucky for it, there was a bottle of milk nearby, which she lovingly fed it!

my lil mother hen! And this boy is ALWAYS hungry. "Mom! I'm starving!" I pulled a container of squash out of the fridge. He insisted on eating it. I insisted that it was cold and would likely taste better once it was ready for supper. He insisted again. So I gladly gave him a cold bowl of squash. Which he devoured and asked for more! (no one can accuse him of being a picky eater!) **remember that secret I was trying to keep? didn't happen. This morning I awoke with a cranky, still not quite 'up to par' feeling boy. All I had to do was say, "guess whose coming to our house?" Like the flip of a switch, he was all smiles and jumping around. They won't be 'surprised' when they pull in. But I know they'll still be happy, jumping around, smiling from ear to ear when they see them pull up! Hurry up and drive safe!!

2 peas in a pod!

**shh! i know 4 kids who are going to be SUPER excited Friday night. (that is if we can get them healthy again. not that a cold could keep these 3 away!) and i'm sure those 3 people are just as excited to come see us the kids! i'm hoping to NOT say anything about them coming. so when they pull up fri night, the kids will be COMPLETELY surprised! do you think i can keep it a secret?!

Time for a change

SO....I'm thinking of going to change our blog address. (Not the "title-Life with 2 cowboys and 2 ponytails", but the address. you know the 'www*****com' address.)

I've learned you don't lose your previous posts (like I tho't you would).

Of course it'll mean you'll have to change our address in your blog roll. (I know.. how dare I make you go thru ALL that work. JUST for me!)

I don't know what the new address will be (I have a few ideas).
Nor do I know when the change will take place- sometime this week.

1 boy. 4 girls.

Friday night Benji and Katie spent the night at Boppa and Gma's (along with Jacob and Meri). Emily (Carolyn and John) spent the night here. Aunt Heather had the night off! (well.. she didn't have any kids at least!) Then Sat. morning, Katie and Meri came back to our house. NORMALLY it's Emily-Carolyn and Katie-Meri. You can't tell where one ends and the other starts! :)

Today.. it's Carolyn-Meri Emily-Katie
Then there's this guy. The only boy in the house today. But HARDLY outnumbered. The ever mischievous John. I lost track of how many times the girls said, "No Tubby!" or how many times I've watched John sneak up from behind and snag their dolls and take off running. He may be the youngest. And the only boy today. But he more than holds his own! {sigh} And that deep belly-laugh!

nuks and knee socks

We found this 'ol thing laying underneath the crib. It wasn't quite the same as she once remembered it.
