On John's actual birthday (the 14th) we had a little party with just our family. He opened his present from the kids (Mr. Potato-Head), then we had cupcakes.

She's been willing to let me try new hair-do's. I found if I call them 'princess braids' or 'princess twists' or a 'princess do'.. she's game for me to try it. But if I call it just a plain, 'ol regular braid/ponytail- she'll wrinkle her nose! This day we were trying to master the 'chain'. I can't find my side-view picture :(
Ahem! He left his baby flamingo outside ALL.NIGHT.LONG. The moment he woke up, he discovered it was out there. So he rushed to rescue it. Mom, of course took advantage of the photo opportunity!! :)
