Garden #1
* Green beans, carrots, radish, chick peas, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, squash, zucchini
(and yes... this garden will be thinned out shortly.. the kids planted all of the seeds.. by themselves) By all the seeds, I mean.. all the seeds in the packet! :-)
Garden #3
It's 1/2 potatoes, 1/2 sweet corn and little patch of onions.
Keep in mind, all three of these gardens were made the old fashion way. No rotter tiller (sp?) was used.. just a shovel (my dear hubby), hoe and rake, lots of sweat, blisters, sore muscles and sunburn (mostly done by me). It was a family ordeal. Daddy, Mommy and the kids.. everyone had a hand in it. Now comes the fun part (which the kids honestly love doing.. for now) weeding, watering, watching the plants grow...

What gorgeous looking gardens! Keep up the great work!
Hey Heather, glad to see you made it out of your recliner and did some work. :) Now you have your work cut out for you with weeding. Hopefully your little helpers will be willing for that.
Good little helpers you have!!
What a cute little garden! I can see why the kids are so proud! The garden where the corn is, is that on the west or east side of the horse barn? Wonder how many potatoes you will end up with? (hmmmm........did Benjamin say he bought 50 #'s of seed potatoes?) ;)
Remember our garden? Riding your bike through it, eating carrots right after pulling them. Good memories.
gardens are fun for kids. :) wow! bet you guys had sore backs!
Love it:)
