She turned 3 in April, (so she's 3 yrs 2 mos). I know many people with kids/girls her age that were trained waaay before now. Alot of people have that 'theory' of kids needing to be trained before they are 3, or *gasp* something is wrong. I must have become calloused to hearing the remarks, about her not being trained by 3, because I really didn't care! :) I wasn't worried at all. She is still hit-n-miss at night (but who cares.. really) During the day she's done GREAT! (She also only wears UNDERWEAR, not 'undies' or 'panties')

(She also only wears UNDERWEAR, not 'undies' or 'panties') After battling with Benji for way too long, I told myself when Carolyn was ready, I was ready. If it was before 3, great, if it was after 3, I didn't care. Carolyn literally trained overnight (she was 3 yrs 3 mos old). I used that same method with Katie. And it's worked great. Now if only Tubby was trained, I'd have no more diapers. (he actually love to sit on the potty and 'stand' by the big one - but at 21 mos I highly doubt he's ready)

rock on!! i share the same theory... when kids are ready to be trained, that's when it's time to train. still, it's tempting to wish our kids could be "over achievers" and be diaper-free at a ridiculously early age... just because changing diapers can be so tiring sometimes! :) congrats on having three down and one to go!
YEAH....for Katie-bug!!!!!!! It's not about the age...every kid get there someday!

I was the same way. when they were ready then we trained. nolan told me he wanted to wear underwear and that was that.
Our daughter-in-law said that she had kids in Head Start that were still in diapers, they were older than 3. We had 1 hard boy & girl, and oen easy boy & girl, the funny thing is that the hard ones personalities are alike & the easy ones personalities are alike, wonder if there's something there? So glad those days are over for me!

I agree with your theory! Chloe doesn't care yet so I guess I really don't either! I think she is MAYBE starting to have a tiny bit of interest but if we push it she gets mad. Not worth the battle, that's for sure! Yay for you, Katie!!
